WOMEN: What to take when traveling (1)

Pack up 

We would like to take everything ... but you think that will also carry all! Whatever the journey, prepare his luggage, it is always the same: it lists, are inspected his clothes, they try, then placed in his suitcase.

Make a list 

Create a basic list (and keep it - it will be used also for subsequent trips). Enter any: toothbrush, sunscreen, camera, makeup remover, stain remover for small accidents, address book, earplugs, sunglasses, ballet flats for walking on carpets suspicious aircraft and B hotel, swimsuit and umbrella (it always used when you least expect it).

Then make a list of activities planned travel and, for each, what you want to wear. Keep bulkier clothes to go and return.

The ideal list 

At a basic set (a pantsuit, for example), associate accessories and clothing that will create different outfits.

Bet on permanent press or portable wrinkled clothes (like a shirt and linen pants).

Opt for a neutral color bases and combine them to one or two bright colors. Choose clothes that fit together in many ways.

Bring at least two pairs of shoes, one for walking and comfort, the other, more formal, for outputs.

Complete with accessories, remembering that less is always best: simple jewelry and without much value, handbag mat, tote or backpack folding for tours and excursions.

Take socks and easy to wash in a basin underneath and quick dry: no need to take 14 briefs if you go two weeks.

Bring only the minimum to the toilet and makeup. Use small plastic bottles instead of large size containers. If your travel kit is too small, use resealable bags (Ziploc) to avoid damage to the bag.

Sort and try 

Put all the clothes in your list on the bed, including the ones you'd like to make without being certain to have instead.

Pull footwear and accessories, try your outfits as if you were there.

Inspect clothing. Eliminate duplicates (why two black sweaters?) Stained clothes or do you go more. Sew up missing or loose hems buttons.

Make your final list and drag a copy in your purse: it will be useful to know what to wear and when, but also in case your luggage gets lost en route.

Charge! 

Perfectionists lining their clothes in tissue paper and place them in plastic covers cleaner. No need to do the same: there are few places where one can not have an iron. Or hang your wrinkled in the bathroom while you shower so the steam défripe some clothes.

Place the heaviest at the bottom of the bag, then the less wrinkly and most delicate items on top. Close the pockets and buttons. Loosely wrap dresses and pants on themselves. Return jackets and fold them in half: they are never froisseront.

Put socks in shoes, and jewelery in fabric pouches that you slide into the pockets of jackets.
